Seatback Plus

Seatback is a health-tech solution combining a smart cushion with mobile and desktop applications. Sensors in the cushion monitor posture and sitting patterns, sending data to the app to prevent injuries from prolonged or incorrect sitting, while encouraging healthy habits and physical activity.

The Goal

Design a product experience that translates complex sensor data into actionable insights, making workplace wellness accessible and engaging for both individual users and enterprise clients.

The Challenge

Navigating the uncertainty of an early-stage startup while designing a product that serves both B2C and B2B markets. The experience needed to balance health monitoring, personalized recommendations, and expanded services from ergonomic consulting to live yoga classes all while iterating rapidly based on user feedback.

Working closely with the product manager, I led the product definition and designed the full application experience. The approach focused on speed and validation: ship quickly, gather feedback, improve continuously.

The design evolved to include multiple wellness touchpoints nutritional guidance, running groups, strength training, live classes, and a content library creating an ecosystem that extends beyond posture correction into comprehensive workplace health.

The Result

A product adopted by major organizations including Israel Electric Corporation and Intel, serving thousands of employees. The platform successfully bridged personal wellness with corporate health programs, validating the market need for proactive workplace health solutions.
